Hi,
I went to a users group meeting last night that talked about developing software for the IPad and IPhone. They said that you would do well to hire a graphic designer to refine the look of your app if you wanted to sell it as an app as opposed to developing it for a companies in-house (maybe then to) use.
Of course the first thing I thought about was Telerik.
Since the development environment uses a form of MVC and a form of entity framework like object references (If I got that right), then I wonder if Telerik has any plans to create extensions for the IPad and IPhone UI tools ?
thanks.

Was there ever any discussion on this?  Telerik iOS(or even better - Telerik Mobile) UI tools would be great.

Only a few are out there from other providers - and they are all...lacking.

I pushed for this about 3 years ago and they said there wasn't enough demand. Perhaps things have changed now. I suggest you let Telerik know how much demand there is for something like this. :-)

I think Telerik is missing a great opportunity here.

There is simply nothing of interest in this space today, and everyone wants to create iPhone specific versions of their web apps. It's a huge market, after all.

I'll express my interest in this.

I've noticed ComponentOne now have a Iphone toolkit for creating web apps. I had a play around with it a while ago - not too bad actually.

Now if only Telerik would give it a go ...

I know we have the windows phone controls (in fact industry best windows phone controls)

but if telerik put their minds to it and put some focus on a toolkit for android and iphones then that would be great.

I know you can to some degree style the ajax components to match iphone or android styling though but its still pretty heavy duty

Hi guys,

Thank you for your feedback - never doubt that we are listening to what you have to say to us! We are constantly improving the mobile devices support for our MVC extensions with each subsequent release of the suite. You can test that on the live demos and if you encounter any issues, do not hesitate to report them to us.

Besides that, we are considering the possibility to develop a stand-alone mobile components suite which is based on the MVC concept and targets specifically mobile devices.

Best regards,
Sebastian

Hello guys,

I am pleased to inform you that we released a Beta version of the new Mobile product suggested in this forum thread - it is dubbed Kendo UI Mobile and you can learn more about it here.

Your feedback is more than appreciated. Furthermore, feel free to share your proposals for Kendo UI Mobile widgets/features that you consider substantial in the official User Voice portal we have.

Greetings,
Sebastian
