The telerik metro html controls sample crashing when launched. I downloaded the sample from the windows store.

1. Open windows store
2. Search for Telerik
3. You will see the option to install Telerik RAD Controls for XAML and HTML
4. I installed both of them
5. The XAML controls app opens fine and has no issues.
6. The HTML controls app opens and closes immediately.
7. I uninstalled the html controls and reinstalled....Same problem.
Let me know if you need more details.

Hello,
We have tried the Telerik Examples HTML store app from multiple Win8 PCs and it opened as expected. Are you running the RTM build (9200) of Windows 8? The app will not work with the release preview build (8400) or any earlier builds.
You can also browse the controls by downloading the RadControls for Metro HTML installer from our site and deploying it to your Windows 8 machine with Visual Studio 2012. After you install the package, you will have a desktop shortcut to the examples application.

The telerik html metro samples work on regular Windows 8 RTM Desktop/Laptop.....The problem is on Touch enabled device....I have a Samsung Series 7 slate.....The XAML works fine....The HTML version has the problem.

We have updated the HTML and XAML demo apps last week. The update includes a fix for a crash in the HTML app. Please go to the Windows Store and check for updates to the Telerik apps. If you still have problems with the HTML app on a tablet device, please tell us so we can investigate further.

I am also having a problem running the Windows 8 demo app for HTML. I've downloaded it from the store and tried to run it from my link on my start menu. I have a Windows 8 RTM Samsung 7 Slate. I have also tried to run the demos on my Vaio Windows 8 RTM laptop. Still no go. I get the splash screen and that is it.

i just installed the Html App from the Windows Store...The issue is not fixed.

As a workaround, uninstall the store app and download the controls from our site - http://www.telerik.com/download-trial-file.aspx?pid=981
After you install them, you will get a shortcut on your desktop that will open the VS 2012 solution for the demo app and you can run it directly from there.
Unfortunately, we have not yet received any crash information from Microsoft for the September 12 update of the HTML demo app. The only crash reports we have are for the first release from August. Perhaps, for some reason the store is showing you an older version. Can you check the details page for the HTML app and verify that you see the update notes:

I verified the Html App Details page and it is same as in the screenshot you sent me.

In this case I can only recommend that you uninstall the store app and download the Windows 8 controls and demos from our site and deploy them on the machine. Note that you will need VS 2012 in order to run the demo app this way.

I used the link you posted to download and reinstall the bits. Then I used the shortcut from the Start Menu to open the demo in VS2012, verified that the SDK is the correct version. And it still hangs. It hands at a different place now, but it still hangs. (see attached screen shots, there are three).
