Does Telerik plan to offer anything like ComponentOne's IntelliSpell ? Not an application spell checker, but one that checks development comments and HTML/ASPX pages. This would be REALLY hand to have. I put it in this forum, because short of telerik coming out with a whole new add-in, I figured it would be put in JustCode.

Hi Jeremy Mann,
I, as a developer, have felt the need of such tool. We have plans to add it in JustCode. It won't be ready for the first public release (Q1 2010) but we will definitely add it in one of our later releases.
Thanks for the feedback!
Regards,
Do you want to have your say when we set our development plans? Do you want to know when a feature you care about is added or when a bug fixed? Explore the Telerik Public Issue Tracking system and vote to affect the priority of the items.

Any news about this feature? I also find it valuable, it is for sure something that we would use.

Hello Giovanni Soldi,
Kind regards,
Ivo Bratoev

The feature is still in our product backlog. Unfortunately, it was not prioritized for Q3 2010. We haven't done the planning for Q1 2011 so I cannot tell you for sure if it will be ready by then. Here is a link to a PITS item where you can vote for this feature and track its progress:
http://www.telerik.com/support/pits.aspx#/public/justcode/1543
Please vote there for it. This will definitely raise its priority.

Hello,
Zdravko
the Telerik team
Unfortunately, we didn't manage to allot resources to implement this feature.
That is why, I would ask you to post it as a feature request at our new feedback portal and vote for it.
As soon as it gets popular and obtain some good vote rate we will do our best to plan it for implementation.
Thank you.

This is the first I heard of the feedback portal and voting for features. There is no link to it that I can find on the home page (or any other page for that matter).
I looked at the Spell Checker votes. There are only 4 votes--including mine.
The feedback portal is a good idea but I wonder how many people know about it? I have to believe that very few people know about the feedback system of voting. If this is going to reflect the desires of your customers, it needs to be more visible and promoted.

Hello Bil,
Zdravko
Telerik
Once you visit our Issue Tracker page at www.telerik.com and try to suggest a new you will be redirected to our new portal. It is still quite new but we are working on to spread it among the community.
Here are some more links to the new feedback portal:

I see there are a lot of feature suggestions on the feedback portal BUT most of them still have a "New" status. How / when do these get reviewed? This portal could become a "black hole".
There are also a few suggestions in the feedback portal for features that already exist in JC. Wouldn't it be better to have folks place a question in the regular support channels first then, if it is truly a new feature, add it to the feedback portal for voting? Having more than one portal to post usage questions seems very confusing and I suspect support question will get lost in the feedback portal.

Hi Bill,
Our plan is to merge the old portal with the new one. That is why we keep both portals active.
I want to assure you that the new feedback portal is well managed and all of the items are considered within the team. The most critical of them reach development stage pretty soon and others are observed a bit longer so we could decide what is the community opinion.
Thanks.
