Hello,

The firm I work for has a site license for the Telerik Ultimate package, which includes Telerik RadControls for Silverlight Q3 2010 SP1.  I am going through the Learning Resources, and the GridView samples in Section 18 (\Courseware\Projects\<CS|VB>\Gridview\Gridview.sln) are displaying a Trial Version Message.  This should not be showing up on purchased products.  Please respond to sdooley@ldi.state.la.us, not the account I logged on to- that account is the purchasing account.  Thank you.

Hi Brandy and Steve,

Since you are getting the trial message you most probably downloaded the trial version of the controls.

I checked both accounts of Brandy and Steve. The purchase was made under Brandy's account. Hence, you will need to use Brandy's account to get the licensed version.

Please use the direct link below to get the licensed files under the licensed account (you will be prompted to log-in first):

http://www.telerik.com/account/your-products/product-versions/single-download.aspx?pmvid=2378&pid=571

Once you install them you should not get the trial message any longer. I would suggest that you first uninstall the trial version and then install the newly downloaded licensed files.

Steve, you can ask Brandy to add you as a licensed developer to his account. Thus, you will be able to see the licensed versions of our products under your account, too.

All the best,
Nick

Hi Nick,

"Brandy" is no longer with the company, but we still use it as the purchasing account.  As far as I have been told, we downloaded using that account, just as you have directed.  I noticed that there is a Hotfix.  Could that have anything to do with the Trial message?  I have only gotten it on the SL Gridview- I have also used the ASP.Net RAD Gridview, and get not trial messages.

I'll try to install again, but do I do this over the prior install, or uninstall it first?

Thanks,

Steve

Hello Brandy ,

You can use the link Nikolay gave you below and when asked to log, use the "Brandy" account. The link is pointing to the correct licensed version. Uninstall the current version first and then install the version from the link.

Let me know if you still have problems.

Thanks- I think we've resolved all issues.  It seems that the samples use the Trial .dlls, since they are available to everyone.  I haven't used the controls yes since I am still writing my domain model, but when I do I expect them to be our licensed versions.  If I run into problems, I'll open a new thread.
