Hi,

I'm having a really hard time to get any of the Telerik Silverlight controls to work in Blend 3!!!! No matter which control I try to use, Blend just explodes and gives me a "Catastrophic failure (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8000FFFF (E_UNEXPECTED))"

This happens with all the Telerik controls. Any idea on what is going on?

Thanks,
Agis

Hi Agis,

I am sorry for the delayed reply!

This is quite unexpected, the controls are expected to show up and work in Blend.

Since none of the controls is working the installation may be corrupt in some way. Could you try reinstalling the controls?

Also can you tell us:
- Your Windows version
- What is your system locale (the default culture that applciations use)?
- Is this a new problem, i.e. have the controls run on your machine before?
- If you are using Visual Studio 2010, do you see design-time errors there?

The SP2 release of the controls is just a day or two away, we have not fixed anything specific related to a general crash like this but since it is something we are not aware of - it may help to try the SP2 version when it is released.

Greetings,
