Hi,
I couldn't find a better place to post this question/suggestion - is there a Telerik how-to book in the works by anyone? I would love to see the code alongside with text explaining how and why things are done in certain ways. Maybe a chapter or two focusing on integrating controls, with and without the AjaxManager, using web services, and client-side programming using the Telerik lib? :)
Best Regards,
Alex

Hi Alex,
Interesting that you are asking :)
We have been working sooooooooooo hard on this book to produce a top notch "COMPLETE" book on RadControls for AJAX.
We are alsmost done, bare with us few more weeks.
This is going to be available on the Telerik site and it is pretty huge (~700 pages). It is also going to be the courseware material for all future training classes for Telerik RadControls AJAX.
Cheers

Hi Clive,
We do have several books written by Telerik employees and partners, both on general topics and related to Telerik controls. We do not intend to stop there, though, and there will be future additions to this list for sure.
Here is the list:
General
Telerik-related (all produced by our partner Falafel Software)
All the best,
Ivo
the Telerik team

Have there been any updates to the books? Each of the components is Soooo rich and there are Soooo many details that one needs to understand to make these controls work properly and efficiently. Overviews of each topic simply aren't enough to allow a developer to really build expertise with these tools - especially since some of the details change with each release.
I've served as Technical Editor for .NET books and articles published through major publishers (McGraw-Hill, Manning, SAMS, etc) and I would be honored to collaborate with RadControls professionals on another more detailed edition of a book on this deep topic.
Thanks.

Hello Tony,
Ivo

Do you want to have your say when we set our development plans? Do you want to know when a feature you care about is added or when a bug fixed? Explore the Telerik Public Issue Tracking system and vote to affect the priority of the items.
There is actually another book in the making: http://apress.com/book/view/1430229403
You can perhaps contact Jose and Apress directly - an independent technical reviewer was needed for the book at some point, I am not sure if they have found one.
Best wishes,Ivo
