Authentication
Main issue is the 'WIndows logon' : When team members are on the same domain its fine, but what about on-site members? Or when we have contracted a team member who is in another country? User management is already integrated in TeamPulse why not use 'Forms AUthentication'
Database
It would be far easier to install and to migrate to a shared hosting account if TeamPulse uses SQLCE 4 http://weblogs.asp.net/scottgu/archive/2010/06/30/new-embedded-database-support-with-asp-net.aspx. Some popular portal application like Mojoportal :http://www.mojoportal.com/using-sql-ce.aspx use it, and the installation is as smooth as it gets.
PS: SQLCE dbs can be easily migrated to SQL Sever since the TSQL syntax is similar other than stored procedure support , so providing two options for databases would make TeamPUlse easy to migrate and very useful
TeamPulse is one of the best Agile PM Apps around and i've tried many. Using silverlight makes the UI very efficient. Hope i am able to use it too :)
hope it helps
