I cannot get the tasks for windows 8 app to connect to exchange.  I'm currently using Exchange 365 and the error I get is 440 connection timeout.  It happens immediately which is somewhat suspicious.

Hi,
For Office365 account, you should fill the listed fields like that:
•         in the username field enter your email
•         in the password field- your password
•         in the email field- your email

In the More details section:
•         the value of the server field enter  https://mailxyz.org/EWS/Exchange.asmx  , where https://mailxyz.org  is your server
•        do not fill the domain field, its value is extracted automatically from the e-mail if nothing is entered into that field

I have a different problem.

Using office365 with my own domain. I have made as you explained but after about 15 seconds i receive this error message:

"Exchange authorization failed. Please check your username and password"

and i am sure of my credential (user and pwd)

Any ideas ?

Thx

Hello Stefano,
Considering you last replay, you have managed to sync with the exchange server, haven't you?
In order to be help you to troubleshot the issue with the different  date and time, could you please check the time zones at the device and at the desktop? Are the y the same or not?

Hello Stefano,
Just another question- when set the date/time at the desktop and sync, is there any difference with the date/time at the mobile?
