Why are you allowed to tab focus onto the Month/Year selector at the top of the calendar control but cannot do the same with the DatePicker? With the DatePicker, focus is placed directly on the grid and only arrow keys work.  Is there some way to override this and tab onto the Month/Year selector?

Hi Tony,

When the popup of the DatePicker is opened, the popup will adopt the shortcuts available for the Calendar, but this will exclude the Tab key behavior due to the nested nature of the Calendar in this scenario. You can check the keyboard navigation article of the Calendar to see how you can open different view (using Ctrl+Up and Ctrl+Down):

As for overriding the tab behavior, I have to say that there is no workaround that we can provide.
