suggestion: simplify unsubscribing from forum threads

Over the years, I subscribed to quite a number of forum threads. Today I wanted to unsubscribe from old threads, but found that this is quite time-consuming (go to my profile, click subscribed forum threads, click each thread, click the unsubscribe link, etc.)

Therefore I'd like to suggest that you add an unsubscribe link directly in the "subscribed threads" list (http://www.telerik.com/community/forums/subscriptions.aspx). This would make unsubscribing so much easier.

Hello Martin,

We designed this section in this way so that we prevent user mistakes.
 
Our reasoning is below:
1) Forum titles might not always be informative enough.
Therefore, it would be best if users opened the thread and reviewed its content prior to unsubscribing.
2) If users were given an option to unsubscribe from all posts and they used it by accident, it would be very hard for them to find the forum posts to which they were subscribed and subscribe again.

Given the below and the fact that we have not received similar requests from other users, we will keep the existing functionality.

However, this forum will remain public and if more community members request this functionality, we will implement it.

As for your specific case, we can offer to unsubscribe you from all forum threads to which you are currently subscribed.

Thanks for your reply. I have not really a problem with the current solution, it is just a little bit inconvenient and time-consuming for someone who wants to unsubscribe from lots of threads (but in the worst case I could simply leave all my subscriptions intact).

Just I little clarification: I did not mean to add a link to unsubscribe from all threads at once. Instead I meant to add an unsubscribe link for each thread that is listed on the forum subscriptions page (for me, the forum title, thread-title and date of last post are enough information to decide whether I want to unsubscribe from the thread).
