The base problem is that EmptyContent is not shown, until ListHeaderTemplate is visible.
So, it would be nice either to allow them be rendered simultaneously, or to have some out-of-box method to hide ListHeaderTemplate, so EmptyControl can be visible.

Thanks for writing.

There is already such functionality in development. You can even check it out by downloading our latest Internal Build which contains a preliminary version of it.

There are two new properties exposed by RadDataBoundListBOx:

- ListHeaderDisplayMode
- ListFooterDisplayMode


you can control this behavior with these two properties.
