Hi all,

Am new to TeamPulse and like what it has to offer, but I have some question regarding linking Subversion to Teampluse.

I have used Subversion and Redmine in the past to manage stories, bugs and plan out development. How is this possible / or is it possible with TeamPulse.  Ideally I would like to take the story id and ensure that the subversion code can be tagged/commented with the story number.

Also does anyone have any thoughts on linking bugtracking into Teampulse? 1 story can be so simple as a new bug that has been identified. What would people suggest?

Cheers

Chris

Hello Chris,

Being able to integrate TeamPulse with other systems besides TFS 2010 is in our backlog but we won't quite be getting around to it in our upcoming release.  We definitely see a need for this, with your desire to integrate with subversion and Redmine being a typical scenario.  Although we don't have an easily consumable plug-in model and integration hooks built in yet, there are still ways that a developer can tie into the TeamPulse system.  These options which are currently available are discussed in a blog post: http://blogs.telerik.com/teampulse/posts/10-09-10/integrating_with_teampulse.aspx

I hope that you might be able to leverage some of the ideas presented in the blog post and look forward to any feedback you might provide.

Sincerely yours,

Hello,

My workplace uses Subversion.  I am curious what functionality is useable and useable since we are not using TFS.

Hi Dave,

This is a very timely support inquiry.

We're planning to introduce more support for source control tools other then TFS later this year. We're in the process of gathering requirements and to help us with this, we've posted an item to our Ideas & Feedback Portal to allow our customers to have a say in what we eventually deliver.

Please join the conversation at the URL below, vote for the item if you'd like to see it delivered in 2012 and provide us with some suggestions and guidance on what features you'd expect to see.
