Styles in the Samples

Hi..
In the Silverlight Book Samples - Paging.
Where / How is the style that is being applied to the DataPager at runtime?
The pager appears plain and gray at design time. But when you run it it shows color and rounded buttons.

Hello Jon,

 


The buttons in data pager are bound to pager specific properties and those to the left allows you to navigate between the pages. Generally if you want to enable these buttons in design time you should specify the needed properties for the pager such as ItemCount, PageSize, DisplayMode etc in xaml. I am attaching you 3 pictures which demonstrate the different previews from Blend.

Hi..
In the samples.. you have rounded color numeric buttons. Where do those come from?
When I copy the Datapager from the sample.. I get the plan styles.
Where is the style being applied from? thanks

Hi Jon,

 

The numeric buttons represent the pages in RadDataPager and they have custom styles. Considering the attachment you have referred to our Metro theme. I am attaching you the full template of RadDataPager in this theme, which you may use for further reference.
