I've noticed some strange behavior with the chart view control. If you set a minimum for the x-axis (in my case DateTimeContinuousAxis) but your data sets go out further the control seems to draw an arbitrary line off the edge of the graph even if the data doesn't support it.

I've included a screen shot of this. In this example the point that is just off the left of the screen actually has a value of just under 1000, yet the control draws a line up to 5000. Any idea why this is? I want to draw a line towards where the point is, but just need it to be accurate!
Thanks,
Geoff

Hi,

Thank you for your report. This behavior is indeed inappropriate and our developers will fix it. I have logged this issue in our Public Issue Tracking System so you could monitor its progress here. As a result of all that, I have updated your Telerik points.

This may be related or it may be another issue altogether, but I often see this strange error where it's drawing lines from the top left to the end point of the line series forming some weird shapes. Any idea what causes this or how to fix this? If it helps, the series are bound to a large collection of data that exceeds the limits of the x-axis. The x-axis has binding for both the minimum and maximum restricting the bounds.

Hi Geoffrey,

Yes, you are right, the issue you have described is the same as the one that there is already a bug logged in our public issue tracking system. You can monitor it's progress here:

I used the telerik menu in visual studio 2010 to upgrade to the latest version. Please see my previous post. But i'm still seeing the exact same error that Geoffrey has reported.

Hello,

Using the Visual Studio to upgrade will not download binaries from our Latest Internal Build.

Could you please download the Latest Internal Build which is located under your account. It's version is (2012.1.0410).

Kind regards,
