When I use SplitView as the first element after the body to create two separate views for the page, I get an error that tells me that I should have a data-role="view" as the first element after the body.

However, according to this page, I can have the splitView view as the first element. How can I create a splitView where each view can store a different view so I can see them both on the same page? Thanks

Hello Idan,

Should you use the code from the help article you point to and run it in the Simulator or on device, you would notice that it works. There must be something else in your project causing the problem i.e. how do you instantiate the Kendo UI application? It would be best if you prepare a simple jsBin/jsFiddle sample that exhibits the problem. Once we review it, we would be able to advise you accordingly.
