I've just upgraded my installation to 2013.2.0816.0 and I have to say I'm delighted with improvement in access times.

Well almost.

Switching between the Work, Plan and Analyse tabs takes a second or so. However switching the to Settings tab, or to any of the options _under_ the settings tab takes more than 20 seconds each. Some options, like the Projects page, take much longer even than that!

It means it can take 40 seconds or so for me to get to a point where I can edit a user. It can take nearly a minute and a half to get to the general settings page for a project.

Why is this?

Hello,

I am sorry that you have troubles using TeamPulse.
It is possible that this a network related issue. Please, could you take a look at the following microsoft kb article here
You could check what is current state of TCP Chimney Offload:
netsh int tcp show global
If it is not disabled, try disabling it:
netsh int tcp set global chimney=disabled

Hope this will help. Regards,

OK. I'll check.

But my network is repeatedly and consistently ONLY going to affect the speed of access of pages under the Settings tab?

There and only there. By the same amount. Every time?

Paint me sceptical if you like, but...

Hi,

For all the pages in the Settings tab we are using an ASP MVC site and for the others we are using HTML5 and ajax requests. The problem seems to be related with mvc and IIS 7 on Windows Server 2008 . One possible reason is pointed here

Let us know if this doesn't work so we can provide another solution

Hi Diana,

I'm sorry to say that whilst the Chimney was enabled, disabling it had zero impact.

Any other thoughts?

Hi,

Another possible solution is to set TeamPulse application pool in 32bit mode. You could check this in IIS select Aplication Pools, then select TeamPulse_APP_POOL, right click Advanced Settings, then set Enable 32-bit Application to True if not set already.

Let us know if this resolved the problem.
