Sorting with extra params

Is there a way to interject an extra static querystring parameter in the column sort links that do the http get?

Is it possible to do this from the client side when using ajaxbinding?   We have some buttons, etc on the page and if checked, we want their params to be passed along with the rest of the ajax call.
