We are developing an APP with Cordova, Kendo UI also with Icenium.

We are facing an issue “slow touch reaction while scrolling”
    - Has anyone experienced the same problem?

Questions:

1. the android devices that has relatively large display (such as Galaxy Note 1 & 2,   Optimus G Pro and etc)

We are facing a slow touch reaction while scrolling (like early stage of android phones)

-       The problem seem like the early stage of android phone’s touch reaction

2.  I am wondering if the problem is related to Cordova ?  or Kendo UI ?  or even with our APP itself.
     -  it is very hard for us to define which is causing the issue

• if you could spare some time and review the above issue, it will help us a lot.  ( a simple comment would be highly appreciated )

• If Cordova & Kendo UI is not related to this matter, Please advise or tell us if you know an APP that implemented with Kendo UI + Icenium.

Many Thanks in advance !!

Hi Ben,

Kendo UI Mobile have a large number of online demos that you could use directly inside an Icenium project and test the device responsiveness. In general for Android devices, performance is pretty subjective as it depends on the device hardware capabilities and Android version being run. It could be something simple as your phone being cluttered by some background processes, try closing anything unrelated or restarting your phone.

Another thing to try changing is the Hardware Acceleration option in Properties/Android. On some devices turning it on speeds things up, but on some slows them down. You can experiment to disable Hardware Acceleration following these steps:
  1. Device Settings > Developer options > Force GPU rendering: (checked)
  2. In Icenium > Project Properties > Android > Hardware Acceleration: On
  3. Delete application from device and redeploy
You can also try the opposite Force GPU rendering: (checked) and  Hardware Acceleration: Off and see which works best for you.
