Hi,

I was just trying with the RadPictureRotatorHubTile control from the Q2.2012 release. Didn't try it earlier before that. I noticed, it is rotating the same image multiple times instead of picking the next image from the specified list. Is it the correct behavior or a bug in the control? I think it should rotate the images one by one in the same order specified in the list and should not rotate the same image if any image is available in the list.

Please let me know the exact behavior of the control.

Thanks & Regards,
Kunal Chowdhury

Hello Kunal,

Thank you for the question.
RadPictureRotatorHubTile and RadMosaicHubTile share the same behavior. They take random pictures from the source collection. This means that the smaller your image collection is, the greater the chance that the same picture will be displayed twice or more times in a row. This behavior is the same as the system tile of the Pictures app on the Phone's home screen.
Please write again if you have other questions.

Thanks Victor for the clarification. Do you have any plan to implement a Tile control which can take random text from a collection instead of the image collection? I think, that will also add a value to the Telerik controls.

Hi Kunal,

Thank you for asking. Yes, in fact we have plans to provide a generic rotator  tile that can rotate any type of content since it is common on Windows 8.
Stay tuned :).
