I have encounter the "ArgumentNullException is thrown if RadGridView loses focus when there is a SortDescriptor applied and a cell is in edit mode" exception fixed in the 2012_3_1210 Dev release.
Two questions:
I'm in the process of rolling back my tools to the 1017 release, which is a pretty big step backwards. I hate to do it if I find the release is right around the corner or I can easily upgrade using the hotfix.

- Is there an easy way to upgrade to the 1210 release within VS?
- Will 1210 be officially released soon?

As to your two questions:
1. You can easily upgrade with the Upgrade Wizard as described in this help article. Please note that you should enable the option about including the LIBs as explained in this article.
2. The next official released in scheduled for February 2013. Then the "1210" hotfix will be released officially. You can decide for your case if this is soon or not.
