Hi,

Just to make you aware; the visual studio toolbox was not populated with the Telerik Silverlight controls after the installation. I had to add them in manually. Also, when editing my xaml page in blend, your controls did not show up in the Asset Library, again I had to add a reference to the Telerik dlls manually.

Hello Paul Gallen,

Yes - we are aware that the installation is not including the controls in the Toolbox of VS. We researched hard on this, but could not find a solution about how to implement it. It seems like this is a VS tooling error. Once we find a way to automatically insert the controls in the toolbox we will update the install scripts. Same issue goes for the Blend.

Thanks for the feedback - keep it coming!

Kind regards,

I cant add any controls to the toolbox. When I select a DLL from the installation's Binaries folder, i get the below error:
---------------------------
Microsoft Visual Studio
---------------------------
There are no components in 'C:\Program Files\Telerik\RadControls for Silverlight Q3 2008\Binaries\Silverlight\Telerik.Windows.Controls.dll' that can be placed on the toolbox.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
"

Any ideas? Do I need to have Silverlight SDK installed or something?

Never mind, it worked on a different machine. I think I had to install Silverlight tools for VS 2008.

I'm also having troubles installing the controls.
I can make silverlight projects in Visual Studio 2008, but when I go to toolbox items,
I don't have the tab "Silverlight Components".  How do I get this tab in VS 2008 so
I can install the controls??
Thanks,
Nate

Hi Nate,

I suppose that the problem you are facing is related to the Silverlight Tools for Visual Studio. You can try to uninstall them and follow the steps described on silverlight.net.

Hope this helps.
