Hi All,
I have seen features of Powerpivot in Microsoft Excel which can be used to generate ad hoc reports,show pie charts etc.Wanted to know if such a functionality can be achieved in Silverlight Web Applications. Can Pivot Viewer Control in Silverlight be used to generate reports based on Ad hoc queries just like in PowerPivot of Excel. Our Business End users have a need to generate reports on various requirements preferably Ad hoc reports that are web based in Silverlight. We would not mind using Third Party controls for achieving so. Could you please suggest us some Third party tools ? We truly appreciate your help.

Hello Asritha,
At present, we don't provide pivot controls. Eventually this will be available in future, but I am not able to give approximate time, when this will be available.
However, you can review our Telerik Reporting product, which gives you the presentation tools to display data so that your clients can focus on what is important: analysis and knowledge. Easy to set up charts, cross tabs, and aggregates provide you with the ultimate tool for data analysis. The Telerik Reporting has viewers for all UI technologies including Silverlight.
For the PivotViewer Control in Silverlight you can refer to the official Microsoft forums for Silverlight here, where you will receive more straight-to-the-point answers.
