Hi,

after installing JustCode with VS 2010 I tried some of the shortcuts keys mentioned in the docs (Alt+Enter, Alt+End), but they aren't working. I restored keyboard settings from JustCode's options and restartet VS without success.

Best Regards
Stefan

Hi Stefan,

Thanks you reporting this problem. We had some similar reports like this before but after restoring the keyboard shortcuts from JustCode's options dialog everything should be working fine. Do you have problems only with those two shortcuts (Alt + Enter and Alt + End) or other keyboard combinations are also not working - i.e. try using the Go To Type (Ctrl + Alt + C) and see if that's working. Are you able to execute the commands from the main menu or the context menu? Can you send over the some recent log files that we can examine and see if we can find some problem. The logs are located in your AppData\Local\JustCode\Logs folder.

Thank you in advance for the collaboration.

Best wishes,

Hi,

I have the exact same problem, but with Visual Studio 2008. I tried to reset keyboard shortcuts and relaunching VS, but no luck.

I can't find any consistent behavior :

  • Alt+End or Alt+Insert don't work at all, and don't show any error message.
  • Ctrl+K,ctrl+M, or ctrl+r twice, show me a message in the status bar : "the shortcut is bound to (name of the shortcut command) which is not available now" (or something like that), no matter what the cursor is on, even if the context menu (at the exact same spot) allows me to do it.
  • Ctrl+alt+c works fine.
  • Alt+Enter or Ctrl+D do the default VS stuff (i.e. properties or quicksearch).
  • F12 works, but ctrl+B inserts a breakpoint.

I have the RadControls and Telerik Reporting installed, but I don't think those have shortcuts. I don't remember having any other plugin installed.

I have created a ticket (n° 342355) with the log files attached.

Thanks

Hi everyone,

We have a known issue that causes the shortcut keys to not function. It appears when you have a non-english version of Visual Studio / .NET Framework installed. We have it scheduled for fixing and hopefully it will be resolved soon.

Kind regards,

I have the english version of everything installed and I can't get any of this to work.

In fact, I've had just about enough of JustCode today ... uninstalled ...

Hello James,

I'm so sorry to hear that you had to uninstall JustCode in order to get rid of the problems. The issue, subject to this post is more or less a symptom of some other problem existing. Others have also reported this kind of problem but in a lot of cases there were different reasons for it. If you by any chance decide to give JustCode another try and you still experience some problems, please send over some log files that it saves on your machine. The logs are located in your AppData\Local\JustCode\Logs folder.

Thank you for the understanding and wish you good luck.

Best wishes,
