Hi Telerik Team,

Currently we have the ASP.NET (AJAX) controls setup and working for SharePoint and are looking into having both Telerik ASP.NET (AJAX) and Silverlight 2 running in the same webconfig.

Can anyone help with a guide or walk through on the setup to the SharePoint webconfig to enable both Telerik ASP.NET (AJAX) and the Silverlight 2 controls.

I can enable both ASP.NET (AJAX) and Silverlight 2 individually in the webconfig but not running together.

Thanks,
Cory

Hi Cory,

Thanks for writing to us and your question.

You can refer to the following document discussing on how to integrate RadControls for ASP.NET Ajax in MOSS.

As for integrating RadControls for Silverlight in MOSS - please check the following article:

Kind regards,

Hi Nick,

Yes I have been able to integrate RadControls for ASP.NET Ajax in MOSS.

The real question is I want to use Silverlight 2 and RadControls for ASP.NET Ajax on my MOSS server not wrapped in a webpart and both enabled in the webconfig file.

I have been able to achieve enabling Silverlight 2 following the MOSS silverlight 2 blueprint and RadControls for ASP.NET Ajax in MOSS following your webconfig guide but not both together.

We are looking to have a Moss environment where we can utilise both tools.

Help on this matter is most appreciated.

Thanks,
Cory

Hello Cory,

First of all, we apologize for the late reply.

Thanks for sharing your approach with us. For the time being we do not guarantee that both suites will work together under MOSS environment. We need to do some further research and optimizations before we can officially state that both control types can co-exist in MOSS. Once we find the best implementation, we will surely prepare help docs and an integration guide on the matter that you can follow to accomplish the task. For the time being I suggest that you only  use RadControls for ASP.NET Ajax under MOSS.

We hope that this is not a show-stopper for you.

Having any other questions, please feel free to ask us.

Regards,
Nick
