[Solved] setting IsReadonly won't stop custom cell from being edit

I have a custom gridviewdatacolumn with a custom celltemplate. in the custom celltemplate there is a checkbox. the gridview column is set to be readonly, but the checkbox in the cell is still checkable, is that the expected behavior?

I cannot click the link so perhaps it covers this but the IsReadOnly does not know you have an editable control in the CellTemplate. Infact if you do decide to do that you are going to be circumventing several helpful edit related features of the grid as the grid is not going into edit mode, but you are editing the data. Perhaps for presentation purposes you want it to appear you can edit a cell all the time but generally speaking you cannot physically edit more then one cell at a time and for each edit you will have to navigate to the control through some means which can/should? trigger the edit of said control.

Hello Tyree,

This is the link to the forum thread mentioned previously. Generally, in case you want to disable the clicking of the CheckBox, you may use its IsEnabled property instead and set it to "False".
