I'm trying to figure out how to restrict the zooming in the image editor. I have some instances where an image the size of a piece of paper is loaded, and when zooming in it to around 150% and larger it seems to crash silverlight. I've been looking at the properties of the ImageEditor and the ZoomControl, but haven't been able to find much. Is this something that can be done?

Thanks,
Jeremy

Hello Jeremy,
The problem is caused by a DropShadowEffect applied on the image. You can edit the template and remove it, as demonstrated in the attached XAML file. Unfortunately we discovered it too late in the release cycle, so the fix won't be included in 2012 Q1 SP1.

Don't hesitate to contact us if you have other questions.

Looking at the 2012 Q2 release notes I see nothing mentioned about this issue? Were there more changes to the RadImageEditor control or is the fix not yet in?

Hello,

Unfortunately, the issue is still present in the 2012 Q2 release and the workaround that Boby suggested still works.
We have opened an Pits Issue for adding properties that control the Min and the Max scale factor. You can vote for it an track its status here.
