[Solved] Separate template for selected item

Using a screenshot from one of your demos I made a quick sketch of what I want to do:

What I'm looking for is to have a separate datatemplate for the selected item when it is displayed in the "header" of the combobox (I'm not sure what the correct term is). In this particular case I just want to display the name of the selected item. Then when the combobox opens I want it to use the normal item template. Is it possible to achieve this with RadComboBox?

Hi Henrik,

The property you need to set is SelectionBoxItemTemplate, but it is currently read-only, so what you want to achieve is not possible. I am aware of this and will include it in the next update of the control, which is due in the middle of December.

If you need this functionality sooner, I can prepare you a custom build next week. Just open a new support ticket and I will attach it there.
