Good day,
We would like the users to upload their own files, using the Attachment Manager.
In the help file it says:
"Only users that can add list items to the current Document Library can upload documents."
The data is stored on a WSS Site, and the user has View, insert, edit, delete items rights. Unfortunately, the "Upload Attachment" tab remains disabled.
What are the correct security settings so the user only needs rights to the list (we don't want them to have access to the whole site), so they can upload files?

Hi Jeroen,
Your assumption is 100% correct - the user has to be able to add list items in the current web.
However I think the upload button is disabled because you have not selected a folder in which to upload to. To upload a file you have first to select the folder and then the button will be enabled.
If this is not the case you can open a support ticket and provide us with some more info. You can send us a screenshot of the permissions currently assigned to your user.
