HI

I know in release 2 2011 Headers and Footers added, and wanted to ask about Section breaks support. Does RichTextBox support section breaks if yes please let me know how to work with it?

In MSWord we can add different headers and footers for sections. For example in MSWord if we have two sections then we can define 3 * 2 total 6 different headers and footers in the document.

When I try to open a document (docx) having different header and footers with two sections in RichTextBox demo application it skips first section headers and footers.

Can we get this feature added to RichTextBox? any help appreciated

Thanks,
Venkata

Hi Venkata,

Currently RadRichTextBox supports only one section in its document. Even though you can declare and add numerous sections, they will be merged once the document is measured and arranged. That is why when you have several sections, the headers and footers declared for one of them are used in the whole document.
We will be introducing support for multiple sections in the near future (not in the upcoming Q2 release, but soon after that). Once multiple sections are supported, we would also implement the different headers and footers and the proper import and export.

All the best,

Hi Venkata,

Support for multiple sections in the document is planned for the upcoming Q3 release, so this functionality should be implemented before the end of the year.
I hope this answers your question.
