Just on the offchance that you have one of your examples prepared for this ;-)
Is it possible to enter some filter terms that are applied to every column in the table at once? I guess the filter symbol would have to go in the top left column above the row indicator.

This was a very useful piece of code :-)
It would be even more useful if it could be extended to treating integer (numeric) fields as text for searching too..!
