I am trying to implement the state of the tree view using Rad treeview, for example, if i expanded the tree view to 4 sub(child) levels and refresh the page, i need to show the tree view with expanded up to 4 sub levels. Basically i need to store the state of the tree view per user basis, is it possible in Rad tree view ?
Thanks,

Could any one have done this before?
Thanks,

Hi,
I'm looking for almost the exact same thing! Need to save the expanded/selected states of nodes on a per user basis (and I'm using load on demand for the treeview also).
We are using WCF RIA Services and have the aspnet tables in the db, so what I want is to save this in info in the profile table so that the next time a user starts the application the treeview will be restored to the state it was in last time the user ran the application.
Appreciate any help,
Anders
Currently, saving the RadTreeView or other telerik Silverlight control`s state is not implemented out of the box. However, we have it in our plans - creating a persistence framework is scheduled for Q2 2011.
Thank you for your interest in this feature.

Hi,
Thanks for your response. Does this mean you will be ready to release it in Q2 or that development will begin then? If the latter, do you have an estimate on when it can be released?
Br,
Anders
Our plans are to release this feature with the Q2 2011 Official Release in mid-July. Thank you for your interest.

I didn't see anything resembling this in the Release Notes under TreeView. If not, what is the current plan?
In Q2 2011 we officially released the RadPersistenceFramework. You can play with its demos here and start with its documentation here. Hope it will work for you. Do not hesitate to ask if you need assistance when using it.
