More than one year ago I decided to buy telerik silverlight controls based on the promise of a native silverlight Html Editor.
Release after release this expected control was posponed. Now, it has been discarded in favor of RichTextBox. I’m trying to use RichTextBox as the promised HtmlEditor but I’m unsure if I’m in the right way. I found some errors in RichTextBox and there is missing functionality (as html tables).
I need a basic html editor, but it has to be solid and stable. Easy to use would be great.
Please, let me know if RichTextBox is the right choice for me or if I should start to look for another Html Editor control.

RadHtmlPlaceholder is indeed being replaced by RadRichTextBox, as the newer approach has quite a few advantages, notably being a native implementation and supporting not just HTML, but rather a variety of formats besides it. Whether the new control will suit you in its current form highly depends on your requirements, but even if it doesn't, we're following a very aggressive development plan, so any missing features should be available soon enough. Unfortunately, table are still being developed, however they're planned for Q3 and I hope this will be OK for you. Anyway, we value highly our customers' opinion and make a best effort to adapt to what they need. In this line of though, any feedback will be noted and reacted upon.
