[Solved] Request - OnSeriesLegendClick

I'm in the process of updating an MVC app originally written for MVC 2 to MVC 3, and replacing a combination of jqueryui controls and charts from the highcharts javascript library with the Telerik MVC controls.

The highcharts controls fired off a client event whenever the Legend Key for a Series was clicked, and could be configured to Hide or display that series (when hidden the legend key would get greyed out by default).  I'm hoping to replicate the same functionality in the Telerik controls, but currently there is no event exposed for this action.  I can of course modify the source for my purposes, but it'd be great if this event could be added at some point in the near future.

So, since I just realized that PITS was for feature request as well as bugs I figured I'd copy this request over there.

Unfortunately, only licensed users can submit such requests.  Is it okay to use the forums to continue making these requests since that is the case?

Hi Ron,

Of course. We add feature requests to PITS on behalf of customers and non-customers alike. This specific feature is both valuable and easy to implement. This makes adding it to PITS irrelevant as we'll implement it anyway.

Hi Eyal,

I am afraid the OnSeriesLegendClick event is not available in the MVC Chart for ASP.NET MVC. Since (as stated here) the MVC extensions' development will be discontinued in Q3 2013 and the new generation ASP.NET MVC product from Telerik is Kendo UI for ASP.NET MVC I recommend you to share the idea for OnSeriesLegendClick event in Kendo UI UserVoice portal. This way the community would be able to vote and comment it. The more votes the suggestion collect, the higher priority will have. Please excuse us for the inconvenience caused.

I am glad to inform you that this feature is implemented in the SP1 of Kendo UI. Can you download the current version of Kendo UI and try it? If you have any problems regarding the feature we will be happy to fix them for you.
