If/when we choose to install the R.A.D. editor, and hence, replacing the standard content editor, does this have any bearing on content already added to our portal site by means of the standard editor?
If we delete the standard content editor from the webpart gallery, will all the content already in place be editable via the R.A.D. editor, or are there possible consequences we should consider prior to installation?

Hi Claus,
Changing the built-in editor in SharePoint with r.a.d.editor SharePoint edition does not affect the content inserted so far. The content is saved in a database and changing the editor will not corrupt the existing data.
More information of the replace procedure is described in the manual, section Installation and Deployment.

Thank you for the answer. I suppose I could have gotten the answer in the documentation, and I appreciate that you took the time.
To clarify: What I actually was curious about was whether allready in-place contents would automatically be "adapted" into the R.A.D. editor. This, I know now, is not the case. I guess the real lesson in this is that we should have installed the editor when we first implemented our Sharepoint portal.

Indeed if you've used Microsoft's ContentEditorWebPart you cannot easily migrate your content to RadEditorWebPart. This is a known shortcoming of r.a.d.editor SharePoint Edition to which we cannot provide an immediate solution. However your feedback on this is more than welcome. If you have any suggestions on how to perform such a migration please share them with us.
