[Solved] Regarding small popup and url recording

Dear Team,

I raised a question earlier regarding popup recording.

I find solution with my application but so far it is not a genuine solution.

To avoid login prompts in popup window, I simply I clicked on remember me option in the login page,

But recording should be done without checking such options.(As per normal procedure)

Here is another problem while recording small popup.

 I have a several tree structure in my application, while I am trying to create a new node for a tree structure; a new popup arrived, while I am trying to capture the popup it is recorded as wait frame.

 When I’m trying to locate an element in the popup, a dialogue appeared (please see the screenshot for more information).

Please help me to resolve this issue.

Hello sailaja,

Thanks for the post and the screenshot. Unfortunately, this is a known issue and we are working on a fix this, sorry about that.

There is a work around you can try, please check out the screenshots I am attaching along with my explanation. The screenshots are full sized browser screens for a clearer picture.

- Highlight&Nub shows the Google Search box highlighted with the Elements Menu Nub (the blue gray circle). You can click a highlighted page element and drag the Nub to the left of the browser window.

- DropNub shows what the screen will look like during the drag/drop operation and where to drop, the top most drop option.

- ElementAdded shows that the Google Search box is added to the project elements.

- VerifyStepChangeElement shows where to click in Visual Studios Properties Window to change what the highlighted verification test step is bound to.

In this case, we are changing the binding from the Yahoo Search Box element to the Google Search box element.

- ChangeElementScreen shows the screen that will change the bound element. Here I am clicking on the highlighted element that is the Goolge Search Box in this screenshot.

 - ElementBindingChanged shows that the verification step binding has changed. You can also change the text it verifies in the Properties Window (also highlighted in the screenshot).

You can do something similar for each element you want to click, type, or verifiy in the popup. Please reply back if you have any questions on this.
