Should I always be using the VirtualizingWrapPanel vs the RadWrapPanel I was using? I'm only going to have about 15-20 items
I was wondering how could I alternate the background colors of the rows? Or maybe put a line between rows. Is that possible?

With 15-20 items RadWrapPanel will do the work - for more items please use our VirtualizingWrapPanel. Generally alternation is part of the ItemsControl not the (virtual) panel which will simply arrange the items.
