Hello,

I am trying to use RadUploadDropPanel and RadUpload for file uploading. It works fine in Firefox 4.0.1 and Chrome 11.0.696, allowing me to drag and drop files on the drop panel. But in IE 9.0.8112 this behaviour doesn't work, meaning that the events for DragEnter and DragLeave doesn't fire, neither the mouse cursor doesn't change to drag cursor. When dropping, the files can't be seen in the RadUpload control, as opposed with the other two browsers.

The example on which I creted the application are based on the examples provided in http://demos.telerik.com/silverlight/#Upload/FirstLook. It is enough to try it in IE 9 and you'll be able to reproduce the forementioned bug.

Looking forward to an answer,
Radu

Hi Radu,

We received some notifications about this behavior, but still we cannot reproduce it on our end. I am using the same IE9 version and the dropped files are handled correctly every time. Could you please give us more details on your environment that could help us find what is causing this behavior? Thank you.

All the best,

Hi Alex,

I noticed that it occurs only when I run as administrator. When running as normal user, it works fine.

Cheers,
Radu

Our team noticed this behaviour also, some time ago. I think it only happened when the debugger was attached.

Hello guys,

Thank you for sharing this information, unfortunately we still cannot reproduce the issue on or side. If you manage to isolate it in a small sample and send it to us, we will be able to further investigate it.

Also if you believe that we are missing something or you have additional feedback on the matter, we will highly appreciate it.

Best wishes,

I'm attempting to use this for the first time and I indeed notice the same thing in IE9.  I switched to FF5 and it works fine.  I've tried with and without the debugger and with compatibility mode turned on and off and I still can't drag into it with IE9.  If I can identify how to reproduce it, I will.

Thanks,
Scott

Hello Scott,

There is a forum thread on this issue with the same symptoms and some reasons why this might be happening. Do you think any of them are present in your setup/environment?
