[Solved] RadTimePicker HH:mm format scrolls till 12

Hi,

When I set SelectorFormat="HH:mm" the hour selecter only shows from 1 till 12, I would expect it would go till 23. The interesting thing is that DisplayValueFormat="HH:mm", displays the time correct.

do i do something wrong, or is this a bug?

Thank you for using RadControls for Windows 8!

The hour count is currently dependent on the UI Culture and the time format specified by the DateTimeFormatInfo. This behavior however is not very intuitive and user friendly and we will update it to honor the SelectorFormat property. The fix will be available in our upcoming service pack - expected next week.

Hello Clemens,

You can try the below code property as well to set the 12 hour format.



 <telerik:RadTimePicker ID="TPEndTime" runat="server">
                                                                                                        <TimeView ID="TimeView1" TimeFormat="hh:mm tt" Interval="00:30" Columns="4" runat="server" />
                                                                                                    </telerik:RadTimePicker>

TimeFormat="hh:mm tt"   == used to show the 12 hours format with AM /PM

TimeFormat="HH:mm tt"  == CAPITAL HH used to show the miltary time 24 hour format.

Is there any update regarding this feature? I want to provide to the users a 24 hour format but the SelectorFormat only gives me the option to just hide the AM/PM part.

Thank you for contacting us.

I can see that you are using the 2013.1.417 version of the RadControls for Windows 8 XAML, so the SelectorFormat property should help you achieve this:

<telerikInput:RadTimePicker DisplayValueFormat="HH:mm" SelectorFormat="HH:mm"/>

If this do not work, could you please reinstall the current version of the controls or download and install our latest release.
