RadPanelBar & drag and drop

Hi,

I'm trying to emulate common Toolbox functionality like in Visual Studio but am having problems with Drag & Drop. The "tools" are loaded dynamically from a database at runtime and are grouped by tool type. I'm using an MVVM architecture and heirachical data templates to load the Panel Bar headers with tool type names and the child panes with the tools according to type - this is all working correctly. I'm using Rad Drag Drop manager and a style to enable drag/drop targeting a RadPanelBarItem but it is crashing the Silverlight app.

Am I going about this the right way?    Is there a problem with drag/drop and RadPanelBar?

Hi David,

We are not aware of any issues with RadPanelBar and the RadDragAndDropManager. However, if you are still experiencing them, can you please send us a code snippet or elaborate more on your implementation of the drag/drop functionality so that we can further investigate.

I also prepared a sample project that illustrates a possible approach for implementing a drag/drop functionality for the RadPanelBar. Give it a try and let us know if it works for you or if you need more info.
