i'm trying to edit the radpanegroup style, i want to change the background header, i change it succesfully, but when i drag the radpanegroup, the style return the default. I had already asked for this problem and a member of the telerik team said than when I drag the radpanegroup, it becomes a toolwindow, so I had to customize the toolwindow. I tried, with no result, so i decided to upload the xaml file with the style, please check out it.. I really don't know what to do. thanks.

Hi Marco,

To style the ToolWindow, please follow the guidelines in this help article. Attached you can find an illustrative sample.

I hope this helps.

Hi,
I'm trying to edit the TabItem header of the radpane, I want to change the background and set to Red.
It works when the toolwindow is static but when I select "Tabbed Document" , the style return the default.
I attach jpg and the xaml file, please check it out.
Thank you

Hi Chiara,

What you need to edit is the Stye for RadPane, and in particular - the ButtonChromeStyle, responsible for the tabs.

Please, find attached an illustrative sample. Search for the word "NOTE" to check modified spots.

I hope this helps.

Hi Dani,
thank you for your respons.
It works only few times and after several attempts the ButtonChromeStyle style return to the default and losts all colors.
What I should do to make sure that the colors remain set in the changes of state?

Hello Chiara,

The sample project illustrates customziation of the Pane templates, and in particular the button chrome control which is part of the tabs. That is why the tabs do appear customized in your screenshot.

The rest of the cases, however, are related to customizing the pane group header or the ToolWindow, and not the tabs. In cases 3, 5, 6 you need to customize the style for the RadPaneGroup and relevant brushes for its visual states. In case 2, what you need to customize is the ToolWindow rather than the pane tempalte.

All these styles are accessible to be generated from Expression Blend. Please, use them to make your background customizations.

I hope this will be helpful.

Dani

Hello Chiara,

The project is not available on that location.

To style the ToolWindow, you can drag a dummy ToolWindow control on the design surface in Expression Blend, generate its style and then delete the dummy control. Use that style implicitly for ToolWindows in your RadDocking control.

I hope this helps.
