[Solved] RadGridView select next tab

On the row details, I have a tab control. When I use the 'tab' key on the keyboard, the focus moves between the fields on the row details, but I can't switch to the next tab on the tab control using the keyboard. Is there any way to do that?

Hi Par Developer,

For the time being navigating through TabItems with Tab key is not supported. However, we would definitely consider implementing such a feature. We would be thankful if you share with us your exact requirements, so that we could provide better and applicable-in-more-cases functionality.

Also: is it possible to prevent leaving details when tabbing through the controls? So tabbing would be in cycle in details, and not switch to the row itself?

Hello Par Developer,

Basically, you may predefine the default behavior of the key navigation as demonstrated in this blog post. However, if you need any further assistance, I would need a bit more information about your requirements. Do you want to navigate with Tab Key only in the row details ? Or you want to be able to navigate through all the cells ?

Hi Maya, I just submitted a Keyboard Navigation specification on my Telerik account page as a feature suggestion ticket #367310. Basically, we need both the list and row-details implementation of the Tab key navigation. In the list, the Tab keyboard key must tab through the columns and wrap from the last column to the first one without changing the focus to another row. In row-details, we need it to tab though the controls without leaving the details view (or the current Tab on the details view in case it has a tab control).

Currently, the main problem is row navigation between the columns. We need the focus to cycle between the columns without leaving the row. Is it possible to do now?

I believe some of the required features are already built-in. Others can be achieved with the help of the approach demonstrated in the blog post mentioned above and in our online documentation. 
Furthermore, we would consider your requirements and their implementation.
