Hi,

I have a problem where my RadExpander was not expanding or collapsing on user click after upgrading my Telerik.Windows.Controls binary to the latest Q1 2011 release.

The reason it broke was because I had a custom windows 7 theme set up in the theme manager.  I copied the new windows 7 theme over and it started working again.  Doing so lost all my custom changes to the theme XAMLs.  Does this mean that all changes to themes will not be backwards compatible, will I have to update the theme every time I update the Telerik binaries?

Regards,

Chris

Hi Chris,

It is not common that we change the Theme, but in this case we did it, because the Expander theme really needed to be updated and fixed, make it smaller and easier for you to change and maintain. We can help you to update to the new theme, you can just send us your custom theme and we will send you back the same theme updated to the new Expander's style.
Sorry for any inconvenience.

Can I send in our custom theme for the RadExpander and have you update it? With the upgrade to the latest RadControls, the expander no longer opens.

Also, what about the RadTickBar/RadSlider? If you guys are willing to update our styles, I'm not going to pass it up :)

Hi Rob,

If you can send us a snapshot demonstrating how you need to style the controls as well as their custom styles, we will definitely help you update the styles to work with the latest version of the controls.
