I need to heritage every telerik docking element:
RadDocking > MyRadDocking
RadSplitContainer > MyRadSplitContainer
RadPaneGroup > MyRadPaneGroup
...

How can set MyRadDocking so it, when user move panes, create automatically my objects (MyRadSplitContainer, MyRadPaneGroup, ...) instead of standard objects (RadSplitContainer, RadPaneGroup, ...).

Thanks

Hi Riccardo,

Unfortunately you cannot do this in the current version of the RadDocking control. We are planning to provide such feature, but for now it is not supported.

If you give some more information about the goal of inheriting the control we could try to provide some work-around.

When we move some panes in raddocking, telerik automatically create new radSplitContainer and new radPaneGroup. I'd like to modify it, so new autoobject maybe myRadSplitContainer, myRadPaneGroup.

Thanks.

Hi Riccardo,

As I mentioned in the previous post this is not possible in the current version. We are planning to add this feature for the first service pack after Q3. Please let us know is that good for you.

Sincerely yours,

Hello,
this is a critical feature for us. Could you be more precise about (at least) the month in which this feature will be available?

Hi Giampaolo,

As implementing this feature will cause a lot of changes in the Docking control we cannot give a concrete time frame. In most of the cases inheriting the controls could be worked around and we would prefer to help you change your logic to not need inheritance. Hope this is good for you.

Kind regards,
