Hello!
I would like to use telerik controls in my Sharepoint 2007 site but I am not sure how to place a RadAjaxManager. Since this control is unique to the page, how will you added? I thought of creating a small web part and add the control there so that everybody else on the page can browse it, is that appropiate?

Hello humble-apprentice,
MOSS uses cache substitutions which are incompatible with RadAjaxManager and that is why it is currently unusable in such environment. If you need to use RadAjax for ASP.NET with MOSS, you can use RadAjaxPanel only.
As an alternative, you can use RadAjax Prometheus which is built upon ASP.NET AJAX and the RadAjaxManager from the Prometheus distribution can be used.
As for placing the manager, it all depends on your exact scenario. For example you can put it in the masterpage that you are using.

Thanks for the reply! I will have to download and test Prometheus to see what the differences are. Also, see if I'll have to purchase RadControls for ASP.NET and Prometheus separately or not and if I can use the RadComboBox in Prometheus or not (my boss likes the way it looks). Sounds like I'm saying "what a drag" but it's OK :)

If you purchase a RadControls for ASP.NET license, or if you have an active subscription for (or one that includes) RadControls for ASP.NET, you will get a matching developer license for RadControls “Prometheus” at no extra charge.
