Apologies in advance for the naive question – I’m a non-technical noob.

RadControls for Silverlight look like the perfect controls for a LOB application we’re creating!

We use SharePoint (MOSS) 2007 for our portal, and will be implementing K2 blackpearl for BPM.

Is it possible to use RadControls for Silverlight within SharePoint to interact with our existing back-end systems (like Microsoft CRM, possibly via K2 blackpearl SmartObjects which I believe can be exposed as WCF endpoints)?

Hello Stuart,

Thanks for your question.

We have not indeed performed tests against MOSS yet as our main focus is on improving the functionality of our controls. As you know the platform is still young and we are continuously enhancing and optimizing the behavior and performance of our tools. We have not got yet to the stage to prepare web parts for SharePoint. We will definitely work in this direction once we feel our Silverlight offering is stable enough.

Even though we have not tested RadControls against MOSS, they should be MOSS enabled as they can entirely rely on web services feed. However, you will have to develop the WebParts for our RadControls yourself as we do not provide such for the time being. We ca assist you along the way with any problems you might face.
