We tried to reproduce the problem, but unfortunately we are still unable to do catch such behavior, so we'll need some more information from you:
- Is it WPF or Silverlight Application? If it is Silverlight which version (4 or 5) are you using?
- Which version of RadControls are you using - is it the latest one (2012.2 912)?
- If this is Silverlight application is it Out-of-Browser or In-browser application?
- If this is Silverlight browser application which browser are you using? Which version of this browser?
- Are the items in the RadContextMenu static or they are data binded to a view model?
- Are you refreshing only the content in the background or the whole control (for example the button)?
- On which element are you attaching the RadContextMenu? Is it one and the same for all items and attached on the whole page or it is different for the different controls and the RadContextMenu shown in the video is attached only on one control?
It will be a great help for us if you are able to send us answers to these question and even better - a simple application representing the issue.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Regards,
the Telerik team

This issue can be observed on real computer with Windows XP only. Virtual machine doesn't allow to reproduce this issue.
Link below contains test project which demonstrates this issue. All you have to do is to right click on colored rectangle and observe how context menu blinks from time to time.

Hello,
Thanks for providing a project to reproduce the issue. I tested your solution on a PC with Windows XP installed and it worked fine - there was no flickering. Can you check if you have all the latest Microsoft updates for WPF and .NET? Which version of Windows XP are you using?
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi,
Please install these updates in the same order as below and try again your application:
the Telerik team
Please install these updates in the same order as below and try again your application:
- The contents of layered windows for a WPF-based application do not appear after Windows resumes from sleep or hibernation or several issues when you render graphics in the .NET Framework 3.5 S
https://connect.microsoft.com/VisualStudio/Downloads/DownloadDetails.aspx?DownloadID=32890 - WPF: Fix for various Graphics crashes and leak
https://connect.microsoft.com/VisualStudio/Downloads/DownloadDetails.aspx?DownloadID=21986
The first one is mandatory and it is fixing a lot of issues, but I recommend you to install both of the updates.
Please inform me if the updates have fixed your issues. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hello,
I'm sorry, but we are not able to reproduce the problem. I've tested your application on a Windows XP machine with SP3 installed and it worked without any issues.
You may check Microsoft forums for this problem or even better post your question there.
The menu opens a simple Popup and displays its child controls there. We have prepared a very small project that simulates the menu behavior but with framework assemblies only. If it works on your side we will at least be sure if the problem is in our menu or from the framework.
To me personally it looks like a problem with the video drivers. On the video it looks like the popups fight with the main window for airspace. Do you have other computers with XP installed but with different hardware configuration so you could also test the app there?

Thank you for your help!
We've checked attached project on our Windows XP machine. We observed the same blinking. So you are right. This problem is not related to Telerik controls.
