RadCalendar crashing Visual Studio

I have a new project where we want to use the RadCalendar for Windows Phone in a Windows Phone “Mango” app, and every time I try to load a view with this control on it in the Visual Studio designer, Visual Studio crashes. I have tried on 2 machines with the same results, and even tried the samples that come with the RadControls for Windows Phone. Is this a known issue and if so is there a fix available? I downloaded what I think was the latest version this morning. I'm running VS2010 Ultimate on x64.

Ok so it gets a little weirder but this may provide clues to determine what's going wrong. I can load the examples solution that was installed with the Telerik Windows Phone controls in Expression Blend and when I open FirstLook.xaml in the calendar samples it says for the RadCalendar control:

The member "SelectedValueChanged" is not recognized or is not accessible.

If I remove this event handler in the XAML then the calendar renders fine in Blend, still crashes VS2010.

The odd part is that if I look at RadCalendar in the Object Browser in Visual Studio the SelectedValueChanged event is defined. Also the solution builds successfully if I rebuild all.

Hi Bill,

Do you have Silverlight 5 installed? We noticed that after SL5 release we've got these reports for RadCalendar. We are still struggling to see what is the reason for the error.

Please let us know if this is the case in your scenario.
