I keep getting "Layout cycle detected. Layout could not complete." on resize of my window which contains a tileview and 12 tiles containing a mixture of radcharts, images and tables. I am using the latest build 2010.2 812 (Aug 12, 2010). This seems to only happen when I have radcharts in the tileviewitems.
Thanks

Please accept my apologize for the late reply.
Could you send me your sample project, so I will be able to better investigate the problem?

Was this issue resolved for the poster? We experience the same issue with a tile manager control (from another 3rd party) which only surfaces with a RadChart within it (this rad chart in question has many data points along the x axis)

Hi Chris,
We have introduced a fix in the RadTileView for a few reported scenarios in which this exception used to come up. However, I am not sure if this fix will work for you as I am not sure if you're using the RadTileView control.
This is why, if you believe that the issue is related to the RadChart control, you can start a new thread targeting the RadChart control and elaborating on the issue you have with it. A sample solution will also greatly help us to better understand the case and the cause for the exception.
Kind regards,

Yeah, I'm using the XamTileManager from a competitor (not the rad tile control)
I noticed in the update notes at one point it mentioned fixing this problem for a set of scenarios, like use in a rad tile control.
I'm trying to slowly narrow down a simple reproducible. It's definitely coming from RadChart though, and it deals with when the chart is resized.
One hack I think seems to work is - 1) detect tile state is changing, 2) remove rad chart, 3 ) after tile state changed, recreate the whole chart.
Obviously, that's not ideal, and it doesn't fix the problem when, for example, a user resizes the browser - which can cause a horiz & vertical stretched RadChart to resize with it.

Hello Chris,
Could you, please, open a support ticket and send us a sample application, which reproduces this issue, as we've been unable to recreate it in our local tests. This way our developers would be able to debug it locally and identify the cause for the issue.
Kind regards,
Nikolay
