Hi,

As used in various demo examples the TopRight and BottomPanels(the ones with little arrows in the middle which would make the panel slide in/out), I would like to use one of these in my application. I figured out that it is referenced by <QuickStart:Example.TopRightPanel> . However when I added a reference to Telerik.Windows.QuickStart and tried to use it in my app, it didn't recognize the object TopRightPanel. Please guide if I am doing it right or can I use it in my application at all? Thanks.

Best Regards,
David

Hello David,

I replied your support ticket with the same question. In case anyone else has the same question, I would recommend using RadExpander instead:
http://demos.telerik.com/silverlight/#Expander/FirstLook

The Telerik QuickStart framework was developed for use only in our examples and was not intended to be used outside the demo application. We plan to provide its source code in the near future, as a real life sample application, using our controls.

Hi,

You mentioned you are considering to provide the source code for the TopRightPanel in the near future. Any chance of providing it now because I am looking to provide the exact same type of functionality as the TopRightPanel. I've tried using the Expander control but maybe because of my unfamiliarity to RadControls, I am unable to customize it to look or work as nicely as the TopRightPanel. Hope you can help me in this. Thanks.

Hi,

Unfortunately the development on the open source version of our quick start framework was cancelled in favor of other features in the controls. However, I have prepared a sample project that contains the ControlTemplate for the right and bottom expanders. Have a look at it and let me know if you have additional questions or comments.

Sincerely yours,
