Questions on Chart legend

Hello Sir,

I have serval series on a chart. By default the legend for one chart shows all legnd items. Business case is such that we do not want the legend item  displayed for the some series. My question is how to hide some Legend item ( Silverlight ) but series still displayed.

Hi Chuck,

You can try setting the items for the Legend manually and thus the unnecessary items just won't be added. For more information about  Manual Legend Items generation - take a look at this help topic.

Thank you for your reply. When I set the items for the Legend manually, how do I set the legend item's color the same with the corresponding series's color. What I mean is, the legendItem1's color should be the same with the series1 color.

Hi Chuck,

Indeed, RadChart provides the default colors of the Series to the Legend Items when using auto-generated legend items only.  
For your scenario there are two approaches I can suggest you:
1. Use Custom Palette with your own colors, similar to the one shown in our demo. This way the Series and their corresponding Legend Items will have same colors.
2. If you tell us what Theme you are using, we can provide you the default colors for the Series thus you will be able to set them as MarkerFill when adding the legend items manually.
